The small town of White Oak Lake, Louisiana, is home to a group of colorful characters, three of whom take their Cupid duties seriously. Their pet project is Jaclyn Wyatt, a single mother who, in their opinion, needs a little help in the romance department. Jaclyn doesn’t agree, but the trio secretly springs into action when a newcomer arrives.
Morgan Chassion retreated to White Oak Lake to mentally and emotionally recover from losing her father, being dumped by her girlfriend and the final insult, losing her job. The past few months have not been kind and solace is what she needs, but complication is what she gets.

"As usual Robin Alexander has written a hugely entertaining and often laugh out loud funny tale of people in Louisiana.
The usual suspects are present and correct - the young women who are looking for true love, and the old folk who can't help meddling in their lives and are both loveable and hysterical.
While the romance moved at lightning speed, when you meet "the one", then it is obvious that is where you belong, and the romance between the two leading ladies, Jaclyn and Morgan, is so well described it is all completely understandable.
I can't wait to read book two and see what the ancient stoner and her cohorts get up to!"

As always, the intentions are good when Clarice Minden and her cohorts begin to work their magic, but sometimes things just don’t go as planned and the results are disastrously funny.
All the while Morgan and the love of her life, Jaclyn, are on hand to smooth out the wrinkles.

"I really enjoyed reading this sequel to 'The Lure of White Oak.' The author managed to keep all the charm and humor of the first book, while still keeping things fresh and interesting. I enjoyed seeing the progression of Jaclyn and Morgan's relationship, as well as the normal growing pains in their relationship with their teenage son Austin. The author did a great job of introducing new characters and integrating them into the wacky, but lovable community of White Oak. I thought there was a good balance between the old and new characters and the story moves smoothly, at a good pace. The question of what makes a family was presented with humor and grace. I highly recommend this book!"
